NEW YORK September 12, 2019 Lauren Petterson has been named President of FOX Business Network (FBN), announced Suzanne Scott, CEO of FOX News Media. In a related move, Brian Jones, who currently holds this position, will depart. Ms. Petterson will begin her new role today and will also continue overseeing Talent Development at FOX News Channel (FNC). She will report directly to Ms. Scott.
In making the announcement, Ms. Scott said, Brian is a talented executive and a distinguished colleague who built FOX Business and accomplished a great deal during his 20 years of combined service at both FBN and FNC. We wish him continued success as he embarks on his next chapter.
Ms. Scott continued, Lauren has extraordinary skills in developing programming and working with talent and I am confident she will lead FOX Business to even further success.
Mr. Jones added, Ive had the pleasure of knowing and working with Lauren for several years. Always a kind, creative and collaborative colleague, Im sure she will lead the hard working FOX Business team to the next level.
Mr. Jones helmed the launch team for FBN in 2007, and during his tenure oversaw the ratings increases over CNBC during key market hours and early evening timeslots. He led the networks news and analysis coverage of the 2008 financial crisis, the historic equities market run, Brexit and the regulation of technology companies. Mr. Jones also directed the first two Republican presidential primary debates in FBNs history during the 2016 election season, both of which garnered record ratings. Prior to FBN, Mr. Jones held numerous senior management positions at News Corporation and 20th Century Fox, managing international and domestic projects with a track record of cost control, increasing revenues and profitability.

Prior to her promotion, Ms. Petterson served as the Senior Vice President of Morning Programming and Talent Development for FNC where she notably oversaw the entireFOX & Friendsweekday and weekend franchise for the last 11 years.FOX & Friendshas been the number one morning program in cable news for more than 17 years. She took on the additional talent development role three years ago and has been responsible for the hiring process of various new correspondents, anchors and contributors.
Ms. Petterson began her initial stint at FOX News as the senior producer ofFOX & Friendsin 2007 and left for a position at WCBS-TV for one year. She returned to FNC as the popular morning shows executive producer in 2008. From that point on, she rose through the ranks to Senior Executive Producer and later Vice President of Morning Programming.
Before re-joining FNC in 2008, Ms. Petterson was an executive producer at New Yorks WCBS-TVsCBS 2 News at 11pmnewscast where she led a team that won two local Emmy awards for Best Evening Newscast and Best Spot News. Prior to that and before initially joining FNC, she was the executive producer of WPIX-TVs (Tribune)WB11 Morning Newsin New York from 2001 to 2007. While there, she was part of a team that won two local Emmy awards and an Associated Press Broadcasters Association award. Before that, she served as a producer at WCBS-TVs 4pm weekday newscast for two years.
Ms. Petterson began her television career in 1997 at WNYT Newschannel 13 and later became an associate producer at News12 Long Island and a production assistant/associate producer for WNBC-TVs signature afternoon programLive at Five. She is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University at Albany, SUNY with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications.
