Use Skype for Business with Microsoft TeamsUsers who have upgraded to Teams will now see an option to sign in to Skype for Business to join a Skype for Business meeting or see past conversations. Users wont be able use Skype for Business to start calls or new conversations or to respond to conversations.

Improved the way emoticons are parsed in a message (so that punctuation isnt inadvertently interpreted as an emoticon).

Support for macOS Mojave (10.14)Several issues were fixed so that Skype for Business on Mac now fully supports macOS Mojave.

Rotate speakers in larger meetingsWhen a meeting has more than four attendees, rotate the people in the gallery so that those who have spoken most recently are displayed in the four video spots.

New Meetings-Only appWhen your organization is upgraded to Microsoft Teams, your Skype for Business on Mac will now show a prompt telling you to try Teams. You will still be able to use Skype for Business to join meetings and view your previous chat history.

If the user later signs in from the same geographic location, Skype for Business on Mac will automatically set the corresponding user-entered address.

Note:The user must allow Skype for Business on Mac to use Location Services in order to enter an address manually.

Callback when on a poor network connectionWhen Skype for Business detects a poor network connection that can affect audio quality in a call, the app offers to call the user back to improve the connection if a phone number has been configured in theCallspage ofPreferences.

Use drag and drop or copy and paste to send images and files in 1-on-1 chatsUsers who are enabled for file transfer in 1-on-1 chats can send a file by dragging it from Finder and dropping it on the chat window.  Users can also copy an image or file to the clipboard and paste it in the chat. (For Skype for Business 2015 Server customers, file transfer requires the December 2017 cumulative update.)

Set a custom location for E-911 callsUsers can specify their location info for emergency calls when Skype for Business cant automatically determine their location. To set a location, click on your profile picture or avatar, then selectSet Your Location.

Choose whether to see emoticons in chatsUsers can choose to disable emoticons in chats by clearing the Enable emoticons check box in the General page of Preferences when emoticons are allowed by your organization.

Simplified sign inSigning into Skype for Business on Mac is now easier and only asks for information that is needed. The user starts by entering their email address, and Skype for Business determines what additional information is required by your organization. Some lesser-used options have been moved to theAdvanced Optionsdialog box.

Sign in with client certificate-based authenticationUsers can now sign into Skype for Business on Mac using client certificate-based authentication when required by their organization.

Hide and show meeting contentUsers can choose to hide or show content that another user is sharing in a meeting. When someone is sharing their screen, selectHide Meeting Contentfrom theMore Options() menu. If content is available but not displayed (because it was hidden or due to an error), selectShow Meeting Contentfrom theMore Options() menu.

Join meetings from organizations that are not federated with your organizationUsers can now join meetings that are hosted by another organization even when external connectivity (federation) has not been established between the two organizations.

Fixed an issue where a users location used for E-911 calls is not correctly identified when the user is connected to a network inside their organization.
